Being a student can be somewhat hard, so we tend to mark the first day of summer, the first day of freedom with red in our calendars.
Summer- the season where dreams come true.
This statement usually helps us get through the whole year. We truly believe that along with the warm, sunny weather adventures and great moments will come.
I remembered a cute little rhyme which presents some details what a bride should wear on her wedding day. But I think this can be used as recipe for an extraordinary summer.
Something old- stay home or go to a place you've known for many years now. A place which helps you to be the most awesome you there is.
Something new- try out new things. Drink a beverage you've never tasted before, read new books, poems. Get a new haricut. Push your limits a little bit further.
Something borrowed- travel to a foreign country. Trade lives with people living there. Live in their shoes for a little while: get to know their customs, cuisine, heritage. Forget about your worries at home and just have fun.
Something blue- the beach. No summer can be great without it. It's the most refreshing activity I can think of during the summer. Plus you can play volleyball there
And finally...
A silver sixpence in her shoe- well we do need some money for all these summer expences..
So,here you have it: the prescription for a perfect summer vacation.
" Something old,
something new,
something borrowed,
something blue,
and a silver sixpence in her shoe."
